With nearly 30 years of executive-level experience at the nexus of government, politics, and industry, Laurin counsels US and international businesses seeking growth opportunities in the federal marketspace. She specializes in business development and government relations strategies that advance the fielding of critical technologies to the warfighter.
Areas of core competence include Cybersecurity and Information Warfare, C5ISR, NC3, SATCOM, AI/ML, Aerospace, and the Congressional and DOD Budget processes. She co-authored “Cybersecurity Considerations for the New Congress” and “Bolstering NC3 Emergency Backup Communications,” both published by the National Institute for Public Policy.
Laurin previously served as senior staff to House Armed Services Committee Chairman Floyd Spence (R-SC) and as Legislative Director and military advisor to Congressman Joe Wilson (R-SC). After over a decade on Capitol Hill, she directed the government relations division of a Washington, DC-based business development firm as Vice President of Washington Operations.
Laurin serves on the Advisory Board for Safe Living Space and as Congressional Liaison for Shields & Stripes – two 501(c)3’s leading the charge in advancements at the intersection of brain health and PTSD. She also serves as editor of The Flag and General Officers’ Network (TFGON) StarLine and is one of only two civilians ever named an honorary member of the organization.
Laurin graduated from the University of the South (Sewanee) and the University of South Carolina School of Law.
